Abby Tayaba

Abrielle Tayaba is an Indigenous woman from the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians. She is a mother of two beautiful children and a traditional dancer. For the past decade, Abby has dedicated her life to work with tribal youth. She is committed to the empowerment and leadership for all tribal youth.

In her previous work, she was the Associate Director of the Education Department at the Shingle Springs of Miwok Indians where she was part of the full development of the department and created various programs that contributed to the success of many tribal youth within her tribe.

Abby is now leading the Youth Forwards tribal youth program as the Tribal Youth Coordinator. It is here where she will work back on her ancestral homelands and create youth programming with a focus on policy and land revitalization.

She enjoys hiking through her tribal lands and is an active traveler with ambitions to view the world.
