Jenalyn Phanh (she/her/hers) is a Seattle native who has been local in Sacramento since 2019. Her mission is to empower youth, organize, and leave the world better than she found it. Jen started serving her community at 15 years old by a mixture of school and community volunteering. Throughout her teenage years, she has progressed in promoting social justice despite being an unaccompanied youth. Right after graduating from Hiram Johnson High School, she began her beautiful journey at Youth Forward. Today, Jen specializes in youth organizing by activating youth, strategizing, and assisting them in implementing leadership skills to create meaningful institutional and social change within their communities. She aims for young people to feel supported individually and collectively to build their power. Jen believes in all youth and hopes to make a difference everyday.
